An Important Message

Dear Friends,

My name is Kymberlee  Ruff, MFT. Although Cherokee by ethnicity, I have been adopted into the Hopi Tribe by Grandfather Martin Gashweseoma. Grandfather Martin has been teaching me the Way of the True Hopi and also the Hopi Prophecies for many years.I have also been studying with the Tibetans at the request of Grandfather Martin.

Grandfather Martin also told me that if he needed to get a message to me immediately, then he would just send a dream. Grandfather Martin does not use electricity or cell phones. He will write letters but that takes up to a week.

The other night I had a very optimistic dream where I woke up in the middle of the night. In the dream I was at Hopi reservation and I was visiting Grandfather's house (just like in the picture below.)

Grandfather Martin said that he had a very important message that he wanted me to "get out to the world". At this point Grandfather got an electric guitar and started playing this song called "Hold Your Head Up."!

Grandfather and Me

In the dream Grandfather Martin said that there is much work to do before 2012 and that we must not let anything distract us no matter how difficult the times we live in are. The next  part of the dream was also wonderful. Ven. Bhakha Tulku Rinpoche showed up wearing this great cowboy hat that he wears when he visits his stupa in New Mexico on Zuni land.

In the dream Grandfather Martin and Bhakha Tulku went off together for a celebration and "complete their duties in the Hopi/Tibetan Prophecy".

Wednesday February 25 is "Losar" which is the Tibetan New Year. Ven. Bhakha Tulku Rinpoche will be in Santa Barbara to perform a "Fire Puja".

Bhakha Tulku at a Fire Puja

"This Sunday March 1, we will hold a Losar Celebration at Vairotsana Foundation's Santa Barbara Center.  We will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Buddha Puja, then enjoy chang and traditional Tibetan tea and cookies.  At 11:00 a.m. we will do a short Fire Puja to dispel obstacles in the coming year.  At 12:00 p.m., we will share a potluck lunch together followed by an update on Pemakod and a slide show of photos taken recently at Tulku Orgyen's retreat land.  All are welcome!

LOSAR TASHI DELEG!  May this Tibetan New Year of the Earth Ox bring peace and harmony to all."

    May All Beings Benefit,

                     Kymberlee

HOLD YOUR HEAD UP

And if it's bad
Don't let it get you down, you can take it
And if it hurts
Don't let them see you cry, you can take it

Hold your head up, hold your head up
Hold your head up, hold your head high

And if they stare
Just let them burn their eyes on you moving
And if they shout
Don't let them change a thing what you're doing

Hold your head up, hold your head up
Hold your head up, hold your head high
